“MVR (Midlands Vehicle Rental Ltd) was established in 1997 in the Spa Town of Cheltenham.

Being at the heart of the Cotswolds, it is ideally situated to service not only Cheltenham, but Gloucester Cirencester and Tewkesbury.

In 2002, the business expanded and opened in Stonehouse, this quickly established itself, outgrow the premises, and in 2003, moved to its current location at Salmon Springs, in Stroud itself, fast re establishing itself as a regular stop off point and base for touring the beautiful surrounding areas of Slad, Painswick, Bisley and Birdlip.

In a charismatic 17th century office on the site of one of Strouds many old Mill’s, this had also been the site (for over a hundred years) of Godsell’s Brewery and latterly Whitbread.

In early 2005, MVR moved its Cheltenham operation to a Newly built premises in the heart of the town, at Alstone Lane Trading Estate.

In 2008, MVR Ltd acquired another hire company in Taunton, Somerset. Previously run and owned by the much respected Gerry Huxtable, the business was already well established for Self Drive Hire and vehicle sales around Taunton, Bridgewater and Minehead.

With three branches in Gloucestershire and Somerset, the operation runs a large (and growing) fleet available for self drive car hire, van hire, minibus hire, and specialist vehicles (open back and tippers, pick ups both 2 and 4WD, vehicles for towing etc.)
